I’ve owened 4 of these. Today another brand came in. I found their product to be good the first 2 years, but the last three were always malfunctioning. I dont like this product any longer.

  2. @Nunofyourbusinesses on February 5, 2025 at 9:38 pm

I use Cat Genie. Cat Genie is nothing but a nightmare. When I see this in the list I know this videos is not authentic.

I would be super interested in seeing your take on the Furrytail Automatic Litter Box Pro. Unlike most other auto. litter boxes, the wastebin is on the rotating globe. Because Ive been worried about my cat getting a paw stuck in auto litter boxes with wastebins at the bottom of the feeders if the pinch sensors were to fail, I would be interesting in your review of that model which does not appear to have such a potential problem.

My reason for buying a litter robot was previously the smell was overbearing and I had a hard time with cleaning 3 litter boxes all being used and messy. I am 75 and have to sit in a small chair to do all that. It takes hours. Now sometimes I have issues as above, but just need to contact the company to fix them.

  6. @IFartOnMyNutz69 on February 5, 2025 at 9:44 pm

You should review the Neakasa m1. I’ve seen many argue That in many ways it’s superior to the litter robot and much easier to clean and spot clean

  7. @Gigifrancetexas on February 5, 2025 at 9:45 pm

How are these not dust machines ? Not to mention when dirty litter is raked up the smells are released. This is tumbling ALL the litter every time. I had one of the raking kind back In the day and it was a nightmare. I found it messy and inefficient. Also I would rather scoop once or twice a day than deal with emptying out that nasty bin FULL of poop (that is if you get to it in time) I also HATED that I had to buy disposable bins that are small even for one cat. It’s literally just easier to scoop it takes 2 minutes. They are also so gigantic and god awful ugly

Hello, for Litter Robot 4, I saw in some videos it has additional steps (wider) which I dont see in your video. Do you know if it is additional steps to be purchased differently?

Second question, does it only comes in default/automatic cleaning (sensor) or we can set it manually through phone?

  11. @rickschiaffo618 on February 5, 2025 at 9:47 pm

Automatic??? They should get their lazy butt off the couch and scoop the litter!

  12. @NeoSoulCrew on February 5, 2025 at 9:48 pm

I’ve had the Robot 3 for several years. I will say that when it works right it is awesome. It worked flawlessly for about the first year, but after that I was always tinkering with it. They are known for the sensor that detects a full litterbox malfunctioning which has to be replaced about once per year. Also the sensor that detects a cat in the box malfunctions a lot and thinks there is a cat in the box when there is not. I figured out a way to bypass the sensor so that is not an issue anymore. They should just get rid of that. Now after about 5 years and having had replaced several parts it just does weird stuff….a variety of weird stuff…it’s basically on its last leg. I have probably taken this litterbox apart 20+ times to fix it. Having said that though, I will buy another one…probably the Robot 3 again. If you are not handy with tools (a screwdriver) and somewhat mechanical I’m not sure this is the litterbox for you unless you don’t mind replacing it every couple of years or figure out how to take it apart and fix it. But if you have multiple cats especially, this Litter Robot is a MUST have.

  18. @bigblokus on February 5, 2025 at 9:53 pm

Those blue crystals in the second product (not litter robot) slit my cat’s feet open. I had to pull slits out of toe beans just so he could walk around comfortably.

  19. @JohnConnorsDad on February 5, 2025 at 9:54 pm

Hmmmm, spend $700 or get more disciplined about cleaning the litter box…..

Watching someone review a lineup of kitty litter robots feels like stepping into a sci-fi movie where cats secretly rule the world—and we’re just their humble janitors trying to impress them with gadgets!

  22. @mo-rie on February 5, 2025 at 10:00 pm

I was looking at self cleaning units but then thought ‘that’s not my true issue’. My issue(s) is, I’m spending $40 every other month on 30 lbs clumping litter containers. I have 3 cats. And as I age, those 30 lb containers get heavier. I keep thinking there has to be a better back saving and cost saving way. Any recommendations?

Thank you for a great review by the way.

  23. @Owlpotheosis on February 5, 2025 at 10:03 pm

This is a well done video, but super curious about the BCHARYA or Meowant, which weren’t mentioned either way, for better or worse.

  24. @alainaphilpot5191 on February 5, 2025 at 10:05 pm

Have you tried pet safe smart spin? If so do you still prefer the litter robot?

  29. @OneManFiveCats on February 5, 2025 at 10:12 pm

You got yours out before me! Oh well! You’ve summed up the biggest problem, the warranty. Until Petkit etc, offers more than a year, and ideally parts for self-repair, they will always be a gamble. The other problem is the LR4 isn’t out in Europe or most of the world, so that is a big consideration. Part 3 of my series will be out on Sunday and is a deep dive into the Chinese machines. 😱

  30. @gtm624 on February 5, 2025 at 10:15 pm

Just don’t buy a littler box that at any point closes the inside off where a cat can get trapped or even stuck in the gap as has happened with some and killed cats. It must stay open during the cleaning.

  31. @knowledge0814 on February 5, 2025 at 10:16 pm

Thank you…’just ordered litter box 3 my wife is gonna be either really happy or really pissed 😂😂 spending almost $700 on a litter box,
But if I’m being completely honest she is sooooo over charging the litter box so hopefully I get a big smile 😊.
    God bless,
    Ps…love your videos,
Now hopefully I don’t become that guy buying everything you put up 😅🙏🏽

  32. @Michael-uo4jj on February 5, 2025 at 10:16 pm

idk why they made most of these so complicated not only could they easily make them cheaper but safer by reducing moving parts

  33. @KingsleyNdiewo on February 5, 2025 at 10:16 pm

LR4 – sometimes leaks but made in US…makes the list
PK Pura Max – sometimes leaks but made in China…doesn’t make the list
    🤔🤔
Great reviews though. Amazingly useful. Maybe provide options available in Europe too.

we have tried a few automatic litter boxes, as well, and we found the genie "cooking" the feces with the heat a horrible experience; our current box the meowant to be great, it handles waste beautifully, and customer service has been stellar, it scoops into a box lined with composting bags, which lucky for us our garbage pickup accepts its sensors weigh the cats, so we can track usage[and weight gain or loss]that way which with [2 adults 2 kittens] is convenient and helpful we bought it from Amazon, [it’s now $419] and highly recommend it as it uses regular clumping litter scooping into a box lined with a COMPOSTABLE BAG, odor is rarely a problem as long as we empty the box at least 2x/week which is easy and quick to do litter tracking, or leaking are not problems, either

  37. @JamilaCrockett on February 5, 2025 at 10:18 pm

Thank you for this review after 4 years of having the litter robot 3 experiencing sensor issues they sent me a dfi replacement kit and it doesn’t work…maybe I did it wrong 🤷🏽‍♀️ annoyed beyond annoyed

Lmk if you have tips re replacing the dfi kit

Any recent updates on the 4? is the 3 still better? Seems overpriced if the the new version is not thought out and tested. That guard is not going to last

  44. @drizzle008 on February 5, 2025 at 10:22 pm

Recently bought an automatic cat litter, took some time for them to trust the thing but after a week and a half of side by side (old and new) we removed the old and they slowly adapted. We only have one problem though, we have two cats and one of them likes to pee at the very end and I think for this reason it is sticking to the bottom (which is like a rubbery mat). So far changed 2 types of litters, tried adding baking soda but nothing worked. Seems though that the issue is with only 1 of the cats. Any ideas of how we could improve the issue? Tried also adding more litter but when the litters turns the extra litters goes directly to the bin.

I bought my litter robot 4 in June ’24 and there were sensor "issues." But it worked fine after I cleaned the sensors with a q tip and rubbing alcohol. Cat litter is dusty after all. I highly recommend it.
