Could you do a video on how do you clean up after your pets when feeding raw such as a ferret cage cleaning etc.

  5. @lilianaKawehilanimarshall on February 5, 2025 at 9:33 pm

This is great, I feed freeze dried and am going to start feeding heart soup for my ferret for any nutritional gaps.

Charlie’s favorite treats are freeze drier liver pieces! I get it from my local raw pet shop. ( It’s hour drive but they actually deliver all charlie’s raw food frozen to my door, how great is that! That is so hard to find in my country, raw feeding is so still uncommon here)

I used pork trotter to make bone broth this week, since pork trotters are very fatty, should I still feed the meat left from the pork trotters?

So obvs if dehydrating chicken hearts isn’t good then cooking them would have the same issue then…there one of my picky dogs favourite and he won’t eat them raw so now what…just no chicken hearts then? The list of things he can or will eat is so small it’s getting stupid.

I tried eating my dogs’ freeze dried salmon and it tastes like plastic 🤢

I work in pet retail at a higher-end pet store. We carry all types of raw food (freeze dried, frozen, etc.) I wish videos like these were included in our onboarding training!

Are synthetic vitamins bad? I’ve been feeding my dog with Ziwipeaks “air dried” raw food, and I think they add synthetic vitamins to it.

  19. @Hannah7Banana on February 5, 2025 at 9:52 pm

I actually found a raw diet kibble! The brand name is nature’s variety instinct the raw brand and it’s a pure raw diet kibble with no extra ingredients! And they have it for dogs and cats!

(Beef version) The ingredients for dogs are: beef, beef liver, pumpkin seeds, beef spleen, carrots, apples, butternut squash, ground flaxseed, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The use monomorillonite clay for shape, mixed tocopherols as a preservative, and freeze dry it.

(Rabbit version)For cats the ingredients are: rabbit (including ground rabbit bone), pork, pork liver, pumpkin seeds, carrots, apples, butternut squash, rabbit liver, rabbit kidney, rabbit lung, dried kelp, broccoli, apple cider vinegar, salmon oil, rosemary extract, blueberries, and dried chicory root. The use monomorillonite clay for shape, mixed tocopherols as a preservative, and freeze dry it.

And they have plenty of flavors too like beef, rabbit, pork, fish, etc…
The point is I think you should definitely try this new stuff because it is amazing!

The price for a small bag is about 15 dollars and the price for a large bag is about 30 dollars. .

hi! i want to switch my 6 year old maltese poodle to raw. but i still have a few questions. can i switch cold turkey because she’s in really good health. and do i have to add fish to her meals?

  21. @lorileaf3597 on February 5, 2025 at 9:55 pm

Be careful even with freeze dried bones. Everything I researched said they were ok for your dog. I gave my dog one and proceeded to spend the next day at the vet. My dog has multiple pieces of bone chunks stuck in his intestines. The vet is fairly confident they will eventually work their way out so we are monitoring and praying it happens and that we don’t have to subject our dog to surgery. Even if bones crumble because they’re freeze dried doesn’t mean your dog will actually chew them properly. If your dog swallows large pieces of food I suggest avoiding freeze dried bones.

What is dehydrated powder food brand that you used in your video that came with measuring cup ? Also i wanted to know what brand that you used in the freeze dried raw grind part of your video ? Thank you

So the answer to which is safer ,freeze drying does not kill, viruses they go into a hibernation mode , bacteria slows down due to the removal of water but are not killed, salmonella will stop from multiplying but not be killed , freeze drying does however kill parasites. freeze drying is a food preservation process not a food safe process. as informative as this was about the process it does not give you the information you should have before deciding if u want to go this route with your pets daily food. feeding your dogs bones is an unnecessary risk in my opinion as one can see by the comment below , legit scientific research doesn’t usually show up on you tube.
If a dog grabs and eats a chicken from the barn and it has salmonella the dog gets salmonella poisoning would not the same apply to your pet if u gave it raw chicken contaminated with salmonella? If a dog eats a rat bones and all it runs the risk of getting bone caught in its guts same applies to your pet if u give it bones. For some its just common sense really

  25. @bunniesbunniesbunnie on February 5, 2025 at 10:02 pm

I don’t get why people bother with dried stuff. Just feed it fresh. The dried stuff costs more anyhow.

  26. @mikaelaworkman3138 on February 5, 2025 at 10:03 pm

Have you found that freeze-dried blue mussels are a sufficient source of manganese still? it’s difficult for me to find the manganese content for most of these freeze dried or even frozen mussels

i bought my cats dehydrated duck necks because i read that i can give it to them. is it safe to feed as long as i watch them or do i have to be aware of something? 😅

  32. @619timbercali on February 5, 2025 at 10:09 pm

Chicken neck bones, as shown for the "larger bone" option is a very hollow cartilagic portion of a chicken.

My 2 cats denied to eat raw, could you please advise which ingredients I can add into their meals? 🙁 I normally feed them kibble and wet food mixed with kefir

  34. @Imwright720 on February 5, 2025 at 10:10 pm

One I can do easily, the other requires a very expensive machine. Took seconds to explain the difference. Some of this info is incorrect.

  35. @naomim5856 on February 5, 2025 at 10:10 pm

Do you included freeze dried food into their daily intake?? or is it not nutrient dense enough for it to REALLY matter? (i know to still watch how many treats you give them)

Nice video! Can I use dehydrated beef kidney for beef kidney? I cannot find any raw source of it. Could it possibly deprive nutrients? If so what can I feed in replacement of the nutrients/what nutrients would be missing?

  43. @allissachavez5820 on February 5, 2025 at 10:17 pm

You should make a video going more into depth on grains and plant matter for dogs and cats when they consume an animal who eats these things! I work at a pet store and im wanting to feed raw and I get so many people saying how when a large cat or wolf eat a prey, They are also eating all the plant and grain matter from the animals they are consuming, therefore there body is digesting and eating these things naturally! But I wonder if there is a difference from kibble vs an actual animal eating these things! I hope that wasn’t confusing but I would love to see a video on this topic!

I watched your video about rice not being good for dogs and had a question about that. I didn’t know if it was appropriate to ask on instagram so here I am! My dog has a very sensitive stomach and it took me a few years to find a kibble that works for him, and as you may guess, it’s lamb and rice. I’m planning on moving more towards raw feeding, but right now doing 50/50 because of the cost. I know this is kinda far fetched but I was wondering if there is a better "filler" in these kibble foods than rice. I kinda don’t wanna change the kibble because it really agrees with my dog’s stomach and probably won’t switch, but I was still wondering. Thanks!
