How to Apply Soft Paws Nail Caps to a Cat

How to Apply Soft Paws Nail Caps to a Cat

I show how to apply Soft Paws nail caps to a cat. First trim the tips and put 2 drops of the glue into the caps. Push them onto the claws and let them set up for a couple minutes before you let the cat run around. The nail caps will last 6 to 8 weeks. This is an excellent way to protect your furniture from scratching. A great alternative to declawing a cat.

He’s chill because he’s an orange cat. I have 4 orange cats and they’re all like this.

  3. @TigerPaint92 on February 5, 2025 at 9:34 pm

He must of given the cat a sedative before applying. There’s no way my cat would be calm through this.

  4. @sidessherri on February 5, 2025 at 9:35 pm

  5. @sherilewis4345 on February 5, 2025 at 9:35 pm

  6. @Therealslimshadyshow13 on February 5, 2025 at 9:38 pm

Please let me know, do these actually stay on the cat?

  7. @sandilane1405 on February 5, 2025 at 9:41 pm

How did you drug the cat?

  8. @taylornovak2892 on February 5, 2025 at 9:43 pm

The cat has to be high off of cat nip or something!! So calm! 😂

  9. @maureenfonken3812 on February 5, 2025 at 9:43 pm

    Your cat is SOOOOO CHILL!

  10. @alexanderchapman1 on February 5, 2025 at 9:44 pm

I am going to see if our vet will do it. I’d like to save myself the mauling.

    That Cat Is High…

  14. @Wrapsession on February 5, 2025 at 9:45 pm

I don’t think most cats are as chill as yours. My cat has to be giving a sedative to have these put on at the vet. I don’t want to go to the vet this morning so I watched your video. I’m going to the vet she will not sit for me me to do that

  15. @ashbabyyy19 on February 5, 2025 at 9:45 pm

Took me 15 minutes to do ONE!

  16. @vxCOCOxv on February 5, 2025 at 9:47 pm

I’m a week into another brand, I’m very happy. But, watch for the tips! They might chew them off.
We just bought new couches, and those 2 nails exposed did do damage 🙁 .
I removed one tonight with his 20 bites and scratches, and I’m going to remove the other. But the other 8 have stood up PERFECT! He won’t even bother with his scratch pad anymore because of these.
It has to be a daily nail check if your worried about furniture or others!

  17. @dodgek5270 on February 5, 2025 at 9:49 pm

Now all i need is a cat that wont murder me while applying these.

  18. @trishgage9288 on February 5, 2025 at 9:50 pm

Thank you for showing this. I had attempted this once before, but they didn’t stay on very well. I’m sure clipping the tip of the nail helps, and the fact that you applied the glue to each nail cap first before attaching to the claw assisted with the adhesion. Thanks again for all the helpful hints and tricks!

My cat looks just like this cat🥺🤣

My cat would never. Edward Scissorhands 😂

  23. @kennethwasserstrom on February 5, 2025 at 9:59 pm

Did he drug his cat? I have a hard enough time clipping my cat’s nails. "It’s so easy!". I’m calling BS

  24. @synanonnst on February 5, 2025 at 10:00 pm

my cat clogged the crap out of my little Chihuahua. We had to take her to the emergency vet. this Kat used to be very sweet. She’s turned into a monster.

  25. @GMoney-B on February 5, 2025 at 10:00 pm

That look on his face at the end.. saying: "You make me look like johnny christmas and you expect me to be happy?"

  26. @lorla5236 on February 5, 2025 at 10:01 pm

    Thats the chillest cat everrrrrr

  27. @debbyfebriany8971 on February 5, 2025 at 10:01 pm

The cat is a paid actor

  28. @jasonparker7399 on February 5, 2025 at 10:02 pm

Lots of melatonin or alcohol in that cat. No doubt about it.

  29. @elektras6325 on February 5, 2025 at 10:03 pm

Ok so am I the only one with a demon cat????? All these cats lay calmly but mine wants to fight and bite- she’s just turn 4 months but it’s a nightmare to clip her nails or even brush her!!! I’ve never accidentally clipped the quick of her nails so it’s not like she’s had a bad experience. I’m interested in trying these because she pretty much tries to destroy all my furniture.

  30. @donelderjr on February 5, 2025 at 10:03 pm

that cat is on some CBD, can I switch my cat for your cool guy there, please

  31. @GMoney-B on February 5, 2025 at 10:03 pm

I would much rather just go through the long process of training my cats to be fine with claw trimming. I couldn’t imagine this would be comfortable for them at all.

  32. @8698gil on February 5, 2025 at 10:04 pm

How do you keep the cat from chewing on them?

  33. @jmcfadden2051 on February 5, 2025 at 10:07 pm

Very few cats would cooperate the way Garfield’s grandson just laid there!!

  34. @adamlewis3729 on February 5, 2025 at 10:10 pm

These caps seem inhumane. If you care more about your furniture over your cats psyche, then you shouldn’t be a cat owner.

  35. @ArabellaCharm on February 5, 2025 at 10:11 pm

Yeah… not my cat. The vet told us not to come back. Now I’m not sure what to do.

  36. @vickik1521 on February 5, 2025 at 10:11 pm

So for a few hours you have to make sure the cat doesn’t peel it off or chew at it? Don’t think that is possible, so not going to waste my money on those.

  37. @blazingtornado8660 on February 5, 2025 at 10:12 pm

Sorry if this is a stupid question but why do you have to trim the nails first? What if you apply the caps just like that? Why do you have to trim the nails before applying this? What happens if you skip that step? Nobody had asked this question and the question has been bothering me. I appreciate an answer. Please reply.

  38. @synanonnst on February 5, 2025 at 10:13 pm

  40. @laurendilaurentis6467 on February 5, 2025 at 10:15 pm

did you drug the cat? wtf how is she so calm??

  41. @thebestcat9601 on February 5, 2025 at 10:16 pm

“ very easy to apply” I suppose this depends on your cat😂

  42. @doodleartlover on February 5, 2025 at 10:17 pm

What do you do when you have a 9 lb kitten that squirms like crazy and won’t let you hold him? I had to take mine to the vet to get them put on and I can’t afford to keep doing that.

  43. @natamae6619 on February 5, 2025 at 10:19 pm

I watched this after getting the super glue on my thumbs 👍🏻

  44. @spacegiant1289 on February 5, 2025 at 10:21 pm

  45. @ynmizzles4248 on February 5, 2025 at 10:21 pm

  46. @lovelyyluciddreams4352 on February 5, 2025 at 10:22 pm

  47. @iamdeadsilence on February 5, 2025 at 10:23 pm

Yeah my cat don’t do that.

  48. @magicisreal111 on February 5, 2025 at 10:28 pm

That cat is so chill. My cat screams like I’m chopping her feet off if I even try to clip her claws, which is why I searched for this video.

  49. @mayma23 on February 5, 2025 at 10:29 pm

    Nah! Mine are! Lol!

  50. @jill8777 on February 5, 2025 at 10:29 pm

I could probably get the tips on, with lots of treats but how do I keep him from scratching anything for 3 hours to let the glue cure? Is there anything I can give him at home to make him drowsy?
