Its a terrible product. The micro bubbles drove me insane. And i tried everything to get rid of them. But even on the slowest speed, without the fish guard in, there were microbubbles everywhere. Which is all fun and games until your canister filter sucks up enough microbubbles to create an air pocket somewhere in your filter. And also there’s bubbles stuck on the underside of your plant’s leaves all the time. I ended up returning it to amazon and got a refund. My first, and last Oase product ever. Well, thats what i get for cheating on Fluval. I just wish the Fluval SK400 was easier to find in the US.
So I ended up picking up this skimmer and it’s… flawless. Literally everything you could want a skimmer to be. I run it 24/7 and there is absolutely nothing I’d change about it.
I probably won’t ever use anything like this, because the last great filter I bought is sitting in its box, never to be touched again. They make it look like they’re so easy to assemble & disassemble BUT wasn’t at all! This looks easy, but is it really?

I like other skimmers and filter but I normally use tetra filters due to them having lots of locations in which filters are sold.

so when u feed ur fish, do you have to turn it off?
I have 2 of these 1 large and 1 small. Their ok but need to be cleaned daily if not twice a day do to the limited capacity of debris it holds
But I like duckweed 😞
