Schnauzer Tests Slow Feeder Dog Bowl—Does it REALLY Work?

Schnauzer Tests Slow Feeder Dog Bowl—Does it REALLY Work?

In this video, Scotty the Mini Schnauzer reviews and times how long it takes him to eat out of a regular bowl and a slow feeder bowl with ridges and bumps to help slow down a dog’s eating pace. I also show the type of food I feed my Mini Schnauzer and how I measure it out on a daily basis for optimal health.

Eating too quickly can lead to various health issues like vomiting, bloating, and even obesity, so it’s important to take into consideration the way our pets eat. So we go over some of the potential benefits of a slow feeder bowl. Watch this video to see which bowl comes out on top and which one is better for your dog’s health. Spoiler alert: if you’re a miniature schnauzer it doesn’t work 😂

I am sure Scotty preferred the regular bowl 🥣 as eating faster gives him more time to play ▶️ 😊

U said something about health and digestive problems but nothing was proved bcuz u only showed the comparison of the bowls and never spoke about it after

Sorry but concerns as to how fast a dog places food into the digestive track are well intended but baseless. To add 40 to 60 seconds is inconsequential. Healthy dogs are not harmed by eating fast but deserve better food than the dry chemical based dry foods known as kibble. Change to fresh foods and vegetables for better nutrition. Thanks. Lovely dog!! ❤

I was thinking about getting that bowl for my miniature schnauzer

Just curious…is that half cup his whole day’s food or is it half cup at night, too? I remember my vet once told me it was better for my dog’s digestion to give her half in the am and half at night. But maybe because she was a lot older. This was a great video, Scotty is so darn cute!! Facial expressions make me laugh!🥰☺️

    Yay for Scotty!

As long as it does not slow it down to 10-15 minutes, feeding him only 45 seconds slower makes absolutely no difference in terms of digestion.
